Largest restored Shaker community in America, with 34 pristinely restored buildings on 2,900 acres.  This National Historic Landmark provides all visitor services in original 19th century buildings.  Farm activities include plowing and working with horses and oxen, gardening and raising heirloom vegetables and grain, milking and tending sheep.  From April through October, visitors can see firs t hand what life was like in a Shaker community more than a century ago.
